02 Jan Lead the Way
A new year in business can provide a whole host of opportunity for growth, but knowing yourself well, your business style and your strengths can go a long way to helping you maximise that opportunity.
Are you leading the way? Are you leading by example?
There are many factors that you can look at when analysing your leadership style.
Do you inspire? Are you a born leader or is it something that you have to work at? Either way, it doesn’t matter – as long as you recognise the difference. Are you a Champion of your staff or simply their Boss? Do they feel able to express their opinion freely and add value to the business? Check in on your own performance in this manner at the same time as checking the performance of your staff.
Are you one step ahead? Are you even aware of your competitors? By doing your own thing and focusing on your lane, rather than the small details of others, you may find that your natural leadership style is uncovered. Don’t fall into the comparison trap whilst trying to keep up with those closest to you.
Your Clients or Customers
Do your clients have faith in you? Are you adding value? Do you provide everything that your customers need? Create a feedback system that allows you to judge on an ongoing basis how you are doing, and where you can improve to ensure that you lead from the front.
Potential Clients or Customers
What is your appeal? What do you offer that others don’t? How can you switch up your offering? There are many questions you can ask when reviewing your business. In order to be clear leaders in your field one of the simplest tasks is to make sure that you are clear about what you provide. This may be impacted by pricing or how you market your offering. Check back regularly and judge your business through fresh eyes.
